The KCFR is a forum for the interaction between asset management professionals and academia with the aim of keeping research both rigorous and relevant. Our advisory councils meet and discuss what pressing problems are impacting the industry, what research is required to solve these problems, and how progressing research is meeting the needs of the industry.

The CIO advisory council advises the KCFR on topics relevant to Pension fund CIO's, which the KCFR refines into research topics for our funded research. Funded researchers present their findings to the CIO advisory council each fall and to a wider group including this council in the following winter. Pension fund CIO's work with the researchers providing feedback on the relevance, usefulness and quality of the research work.
